Ella's Adopted!
Crossing of fingers and paws worked! We had an adoption meeting for Ella this evening. And she went home! I really liked the family who adopted her. They have three kids. The mom stays at home. The kids are well behaved. The parents are calm and seem responsible. They're planning on taking Ella to obedience training.
After 5-10 minutes Ella calmed down and was walking around the store where we met with the dad and kids. He even came up to us and commented how she calmed down pretty quickly.
The entire family seemed to like her right away and she seemed to fit in with them. So I think that Ella will do well with this family. She'll have someone home most of the time. She'll have a place to swim on weekends when the family goes to their cabin up north. She'll get a lot of attention, exercise, and love.
We'll be taking a week or so off until we foster again. We'll be helping out with an adoption event on Saturday. Most likely early next week we'll have another foster dog in the house. For now Beacon and Haven are enjoying their time just the two of them.
